What We Collect

We collect the following information: your mobile device ID, what school/organization code you used to join the app, the answers to the onboarding questions, and your usage of the app.

How We Collect This Data

When you install the app, you can decide to allow it to send you push notifications. In order to send you these notifications, we need a device token/ID provided by Apple or Google, depending on your operating system. These tokens do not identify someone; they are merely used to send push notifications to devices (such as your phone). Sometimes, the operating system regenerates them. You can decline to send us your device token by tapping "Do not allow" when installing the app. These tokens do not themselves contain any information about you, your phone number, your name, etc. That is, these tokens do not contain any personally identifiable information.

When you use mobile app, data about your onboarding and usage is aggregated into a central database. We collect such data when you navigate to various parts of the app. We also collect data when you complete a survey/check-in. None of these data contain any personally identifying information.

How We Use This Information

We use device tokens to send you push notifications, which help you know about new app resources or be alerted to a regular check-in you may wish to take. You may ignore these notifications if you wish. You can also turn them off. Again, if you don't ever want notifications, you can tap "Do not allow" when app prompts you about sending them (upon installation).

We use your data while using the app to personalize your experience. For example, if you view information about Getting Better Sleep, we may provide more resources about sleep for you. However, we have no idea who you are - we simply know you are a person who viewed a sleep resource. Thus, while personalized, the app is anonymous.

We also use the data we collect from all users for research purposes, to better understand the needs and trends of those who use the app. Our primary interest is understanding these aggregate trends and providing more timely wellbeing resources for school communities.

The app contains an "anonymous ID", which is randomly generated per user and does not contain any personally identifiable information. Some users, who provide consent during provider (doctor, therapist, etc.) visits, may elect to give this ID to them, purely for research purposes. Such information is only provided with consent.

Third Parties

We do not sell or share any data we collect with any third-parties.
